Burns, Grossman, Jeffrey, Roy & Wilson join AAM advisory board

(Washington DC – February 24, 2013) America Abroad Media is pleased to announce the recent addition of five new members to its advisory board: Nicholas Burns, Marc Grossman, James Jeffrey, J. Stapleton Roy and Douglas Wilson.

Nicholas Burns is Professor of the Practice of Diplomacy and International Politics at the Harvard Kennedy School. During more than 27 years in the U.S. Foreign Service, Burns served as Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, State Department Spokesman, and the Ambassador to NATO and Greece.

Marc Grossman is Vice Chairman of The Cohen Group and a Kissinger Senior Fellow at the Jackson Institute at Yale University. During more than 30 years in the U.S. Foreign Service, Grossman served as the Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, the U.S. Ambassador to Turkey, and the U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan.

James Jeffrey is distinguished visiting fellow at The Washington Institute, where he focuses on U.S. strategies to counter Iran's efforts to expand its influence in the broader Middle East. Ambassador Jeffrey previously served as Deputy National Security Advisor as well as the U.S. Ambassador to Iraq, Turkey, and Albania.

J. Stapleton Roy is Director of the Kissinger Institute on China and the United States at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C. During his 45-year career in the U.S. Foreign Service, Roy served as the U.S. Ambassador to Singapore, Indonesia, and the People's Republic of China.

Doug Wilson served as Assistant Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs between February 2010 and March 2012, during which time he was the Pentagon's senior spokesman and principal communications strategist. While in the private sector, Wilson served as a Vice President of The Cohen Group and a Vice President of Penn, Schoen & Berland (PSB).
