Panelists:

Irshad Manji, best-selling author of The Trouble with Islam Today: A Muslim’s Call for Reform in Her Faith. Currently, Irshad is a Senior Fellow with the European Foundation for Democracy, and writes columns that are distributed worldwide by the New York Times Syndicate. Irshad has launched Project Ijtihad, an initiative to develop the world’s first leadership network for reform-minded Muslims, and was recently named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.

Dr. Richard Land, President of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission. Dr. Land was appointed to the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom for his third term in 2005 by Senator Bill Frist. In February 2005, Land was featured in Time Magazine as one of the “Twenty-five Most Influential Evangelicals in America.”

Imam Johari Abdul-Malik, former Muslim Chaplain at Howard University and Head of the National Association of Muslim Chaplains in Higher Education. Imam Johari also serves as the chair of government relations for the Muslim Alliance in North America.

Rabbi David Berger, Broeklundian Professor of History at Brooklyn College and the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. Rabbi Berger is also a Visiting Professor of Jewish History at the Bernard Revel Graduate School of Yeshiva University.
