Zbigniew Brzezinski
Zbigniew Brzezinski is currently Counselor-In-Residence at The Center for Strategic and International Studies and the Robert E. Osgood Professor of American Foreign Policy at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. He served as National Security Adviser to President Jimmy Carter from 1977-81, and as an adviser to the Kennedy and Johnson administrations in the 1960's. Dr. Brzezinski was a Member of the NSC/Defense Department Commission on Integrated Long-Term Strategy from 1987 to 1988 and a Member of the President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board from 1987 to 1989. Dr. Brzezinkski was a Professor at Columbia University from 1960 to 1989 and at Harvard University from 1953 to 1960. His most recent publications include Second Chance: Three Presidents and the Crisis of American Superpower (2007); The Choice: Global Domination or Global Leadership (2004); The Grand Chessboard (1997) and many more. He received his Ph.D. in government from Harvard University and has won numerous awards including the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1981.
