Brent Scowcroft

General Brent Scowcroft is president of The Scowcroft Group, an international consulting firm. He served as the National Security Advisor to President Gerald Ford from 1974-76 and as National Security Advisor to President George Bush Sr. from 1989-93. From 1982 to 1989, he was Vice Chairman of Kissinger Associates, Inc., an international consulting firm. General Scowcroft has also served on the President's Advisory Committee on Arms Control, the Commission on Strategic Forces and the President's Special Review Board, also known as the Tower Board. Prior to his government service General Scowcroft had a distinguished 29 year career in the Air Force, beginning with his graduation from West Point and concluding at the rank of Lieutenant General. General Scowcroft received his Masters degree and Doctorate in International Relations from Columbia University.
