Carla Hills
Ambassador Carla Hills is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hills and Company, a Washington D.C.- based consulting company that advises clients on international trade and investment issues. She served as the United States Trade Representative from 1989-93, acting as President Bush's principal advisor on international trade policy. Ambassador Hills also served in the Ford administration as the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development from 1975 to 1977, and worked as Assistant Attorney General in the Civil Division at the U.S. Department of Justice from 1974-75. In addition to her current duties as Chairman and CEO, she is the Vice Chair of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations, the U.S.-China Business Council, and the Inter-American Dialogue. Ambassador Hills received her undergraduate degree from Stanford University and her JD from Yale University.
